EHang, a Chinese unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology company, says it will soon be launching its newest consumer drone.
Additionally, EHang says, it has acquired its own independent factory production lines in the company’s new headquarters in Guangzhou, China. EHang also has offices in California’s Silicon Valley, Beijing and Shanghai.
The new drone is slated for a Nov. 4 launch, when a flash sale on the new product will start the same day on EHang’s website. In August, the company, also a member of the Small UAV Coalition, raised $42 million in Series B financing.
Its current UAV offering, the Ghost Drone, offers an easy, intuitive and user-friendly method of controlling the aircraft, says EHang. With the Ghost Drone, pilots do not use a radio control transmitter but, rather, the EHang mobile app.
“We are focused on delivering the most user-friendly drone on the market and will reveal more on Nov. 4,” comments Derrick Xiong, company co-founder.
