Spain-based DRONING Sistemas Aéreos says it has launched a new high-performance unmanned aircraft system (UAS), the DE820, suited for applications such as environmental monitoring, agriculture, inspections and surveying.

The compact, foldable multi-rotor drone is capable of up to 35 minutes of operational flight, depending on the configuration. It has been designed and manufactured at the company’s facilities in Seville.

Although the DE820 can be custom-configured, DRONING offers two main versions depending on the specific application.

Configuration DE820-T (surveying and monitoring) has four motors and provides 30 minutes of flight time. It also features an integrated camera gimbal and four-point legs for landing stability in rough terrain.

Configuration DE820-FI (cintematography and inspection) provides added redundancy and payloads up to 4 kg. The vehicle has eight motors in coaxial configuration and a tri-blade propeller.

The user can remotely select points, routes, orientation angles, altitude changes and sensor activations directly from a PC or tablet. The drones also allow automation of complex flights, from takeoff to landing.

The company says it is also developing new version of the DE820 with flight times from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
