Drone World Expo 2016, in conjunction with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide, is launching a workshop entitled “Multirotor sUAS Safety and Operational Familiarization for the Commercial Operator.”
The one-day, hands-on course will be offered on Monday, Nov. 14 – the day before Drone World Expo 2016 – from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
“With the release of Part 107, we are looking forward to helping entrepreneurs, businesses and new entrants into this field better understand fundamental operational concepts and rules,” explains Dr. Brent Terwilliger, program chair of the Master of Unmanned Systems degree, UAS discipline chair and full-time assistant professor of aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide.
“Our sUAS multirotor familiarization workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about best practices in aviation while also building and applying critical knowledge, skills and abilities to help ensure safe and appropriate sUAS operations in the National Airspace System,” Terwilliger adds.
Registrations for both the course and Drone World Expo 2016 are currently open. More information can be found here.
