Tethered-drone and aerostat manufacturer Drone Aviation Holding Corp. has introduced the Bolt drone platform, an unmanned, tethered helicopter for applications requiring persistent, heavy-lift capabilities.

According to the company, the Bolt aircraft – with a gross lift of 65 lbs. – requires a 10-minute setup and delivers quiet operations at altitudes up to 800 feet.

In addition, the helicopter can provide more than 10 hours of flight time, enabled by a tether system providing uninterruptible power, as well as a live HD video feed and secure communications.

Jay Nussbaum, chairman and CEO of Drone Aviation Corp., explains, “Designed with valuable input from military and civilian customers and partners, the addition of Bolt to our expanding product portfolio will allow us to provide customers with a growing number of cost-effective, long-duration aerial solutions capable of meeting a diverse range of operational requirements.”
