TVU Networks, a provider of live IP video transmission solutions, has partnered with DJI to release what it says is the world's first aerial newsgathering pack.

The joint solution combines a TVU One IP video transmitter with a DJI Inspire 1 to give news organizations and other video production crews the ability to transmit live HD video to any broadcast facility or content distribution network.

With more than 20 minutes of flying time, the solution is capable of transmitting in full HD with sub-second latency.

TVU and DJI have also announced a strategic partnership that includes full integration of the entire TVUPack family of IP transmission solutions with each DJI drone solution, including the Phantom series.

This joint solution has already been used in the field: TVU provided live mobile transmission capabilities to DJI during the launch event for the Phantom 3 drone series.
