As part of its partnership with Facebook, DJI has streamed what it says is the first Facebook Live video from an aerial platform.

The video was streamed during Facebook’s annual F8 developer conference in San Francisco, where a DJI Phantom 4 drone broadcast attendees in the Herbst Pavilion to a live audience watching on Facebook around the globe.

DJI says its lines of Phantom and Inspire drones are capable of live-streaming aerial imagery.

The company notes that Facebook Live video streaming functionality will be available later in April for all devices controlled by the DJI GO mobile app.
