DJI has modified its speed and acceleration statistics for its newly launched Inspire 2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
At launch, DJI said the new drone was expected to accelerate to 50 mph in 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 67 mph. However, after “further optimization and testing of various components of the craft, camera gimbal and propulsion system,” the company says in a statement, DJI’s engineers have changed the specifications.
Now, DJI expects the UAV to accelerate to 50 mph in 5 seconds and reach a top speed of 58 mph.
“These changes are necessary to ensure speed does not compromise video quality and stability,” the company explains.
In addition, DJI has announced that the Inspire 2 will work with the new DJI GO 4 mobile app, which will be made available on both Android and iOS.
