Syracuse, N.Y.-based law firm Bousquet Holstein PLLC recently formed a new practice group dedicated to the legal issues concerning the commercial and recreational use of small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Bousquet Holstein says it formed the new practice group to help clients navigate the newly developing legal and regulatory framework and seek out opportunities for the increasingly expanding use of the technology.
The firm says it has closely followed the developments associated with recent awards to the central New York region through the Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI). As additional funding through the URI becomes available for grants in the region, Bousquet Holstein says it is prepared to address the needs of clients who are looking to establish a business in the UAV industry.
Central New York – specifically, Griffiss International Airport in Rome – is home to one of the six Federal Aviation Administration-designated UAV test sites.
