338_476477427 Case Closed on Mysterious Drone Crash in St. LouisThe questions surrounding the anonymous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that collided with a skyscraper in St. Louis in early May have been answered.

According to an STLtoday.com report, the UAV's owner – a 51-year-old man from California who was visiting his mother in St. Louis at the same – was taking a video of the city's buildings when the vehicle hit the One Metropolitan Square building and landed on a balcony 30 floors up.

Because he was operating the UAV with a remote control from a different street, he figured the vehicle had crashed and was retrieved by another person after it disappeared and he was not able to recover it.

After the man heard reports of the incident, he came forward to officials and was able to bring home his now-injured DJI Phantom 2 quadcopter. Police reportedly cite no criminal intent.
