AUVSI Introduces New UAS Insurance Solution

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), Willis Programs and Global Aerospace have partnered to develop DroneGuard, an unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) insurance solution for AUVSI members.

Portsmouth, N.H.-based Willis Programs, a unit of Willis Towers Watson, has been providing insurance programs since 1962. The new AUVSI insurance program is underwritten by London-headquartered Global Aerospace, a provider of aerospace insurance.

DroneGuard is designed for unmanned system owners and operators. The program delivers a range of coverage in a package that includes protection for physical damage, third-party liability and personal injury, as well as risk-management services.
