Amazon, pushing forward with its plans to deliver packages by drone, has gained a new lobbyist in law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

A report from Politico says the online retailer has hired the firm to lobby for ‘federal advocacy’ of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and for the Marketplace Fairness Act, a potential bill dealing with the collection of sales tax.

Amazon originally announced its plans for UAV deliveries in December. It spent about $3.5 million on lobbying last year, Politico reports.

Michael Drobac, Melanie Goggins, Ed Pagano, Jennifer Richter and Greg Walden will be representing the law firm.
