Germany-based multicopter developer Aibotix has released a new version of its Aibot X6 hexacopter.

According to the company, the Aibot X6 V2 has improved functions that help enable easier and safer handling. Aibotix says it has extended the autonomous take-off and landing function of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) so that it can launch and land with the touch of a button.

Aibotix reports that the UAV features automatic waypoint flights and can set waypoints during a flight. The Aibot X6 V2, the company adds, provides a standardized interface to integrate different measurement instruments and other sensors.

The company notes that the new version of the Aibot X6 also has improved payload capacity, increasing from 2.5 kg to 3 kg.
